The blank, not the print

The mask is part of the shirt
It is sewn into the neck, not a separate tube you pull on and then lose. One piece of cloth runs from the chest up over your nose, so there is no gap at the jaw for the sun to find.

The pattern runs over the hood
Two printed panels meet down the centre of the hood. The pattern carries across the seam but never lines up exactly — that is what real printed cloth does, and it is how you tell it from a patch pressed onto a blank.

The colour is in the cloth
Printed before it is cut, so the knit loops themselves carry the colour. Nothing sits on top of the fabric — nothing to feel with a fingertip, nothing to crack after a season of washes.

180 gsm (5.3 oz/yd²), 90% polyester / 10% spandex, cool-touch knit, UPF 50+. Unisex cut, straight through the body, with a hood and a face mask built into the neck. Pull the mask up over your nose or let it sit flat as a collar.

Easiest way: copy a tee you already like. Lay it flat, smooth out the wrinkles, and take these three with a tape or a ruler.
- Chest — straight across, an inch below the armhole seam, then double it.
- Length — from the high point of the shoulder, beside the collar, straight down to the hem.
- Sleeve — from the shoulder seam to the cuff.

This one is cut wider than our classic tee — a gaiter hoodie S measures 41.7″ around the chest against 36″ on a classic S. If you like a close fit over a base layer, take your usual size; if you want room to layer, go up one.
Care
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Tumble dry low or hang. Do not iron directly on the print. No bleach, no dry cleaning.

Questions we actually get
Will the print crack or peel?
No — there is nothing on top of the fabric to crack. The cloth is printed first and cut and sewn afterwards, so the colour is in the fibre itself. You cannot feel the pattern with a fingertip, and it cannot peel away from the shirt.
Which size should I order?
This one is cut wider than our classic tee — a gaiter hoodie S measures 41.7″ around the chest against 36″ on a classic S. Measure a shirt you already like across the chest, lay it flat, double it, and match that number on the chart: the chart lists the garment, not your body. If you want room for a base layer underneath, go up one size.
Will it fade after a season on the water?
Sun and salt are hard on anything. This one holds up better than a printed tee because the colour is dyed into the fibre rather than laid on top of it. Wash cold and inside out, hang it in the shade rather than the dryer, and rinse salt out the same day.
Can I wear it fishing, or is it a going-out shirt?
This is the one built for sun. 90% polyester with 10% spandex, four-way stretch, 180 gsm cool-touch knit rated UPF 50+ — the hood and the built-in face mask cover your ears, neck and cheeks through a full day on the water.
