How to keep your print looking new

Every WadeRidge tee is printed for your order, and the print is built to take boat decks, tailgates and a lot of washing machines. A few easy habits keep it looking the way it did on day one.

Give it a day before the first wash

The print keeps settling into the fabric for about 24 hours after it comes off the press. If the shirt just arrived, wear it first and wash it tomorrow.

Wash it like a favorite hat

  • Inside out. Keeps the print from rubbing against zippers, buttons and the drum.
  • Cold water, gentle cycle. Heat is the one thing the print really does not like.
  • Regular detergent, nothing extra. Skip bleach and skip fabric softener. Bleach eats the color, and softener leaves a waxy film that loosens the print over time.
  • Do not scrub the print. A stain next to the design comes out with a soak, not a brush.

Dry it the slow way

Hang it or lay it flat, out of direct sun. If you need the dryer, use the lowest heat setting and pull the shirt out while it is still a little damp. Never run an iron over the print. If the shirt needs pressing, turn it inside out and keep the iron off the design.
