The blank, not the print
  • Sleeves all the way to the wrist

Full-length sleeves end in a plain sewn cuff, and the print runs right down to it — your forearms stay covered on a long day in the sun.

  • The pattern crosses the seam

Five printed panels, cut and sewn. The pattern carries on across the shoulder seam but never lines up exactly — that is what real printed cloth does, and it is how you tell it from a patch pressed onto a blank.

  • The colour is in the cloth

Printed before it is cut, so the knit loops themselves carry the colour. Nothing sits on top of the fabric — nothing to feel with a fingertip, nothing to crack after a season of washes.

Fabric & fit

180 gsm (5.3 oz/yd²), Cool-feeling stretch knit, polyester blend, UPF 50+. Unisex cut, straight through the body, round crew neck and full-length sleeves to the wrist. No hood — it sits easy under a cap or a life vest.

  • Cut and sewn from five printed panels — body front, body back, two long sleeves and the neck band
  • The pattern carries across every seam and down both sleeves
  • Made to order

Light, cool and smooth in the hand, with real stretch. The cloth is printed before it is cut, so the colour sits IN the fabric — nothing to feel with a fingertip, nothing to crack after a season of washes.

Every number is the garment, in inches — not your body. Chest is the full circumference, measured around the garment under the arms. Shoulder is measured across the back, seam to seam; sleeve from the shoulder seam to the cuff. Long sleeve sun shirt — S to 5XL. Allow about an inch either way.

Easiest way: copy a tee you already like. Lay it flat, smooth out the wrinkles, and take these four with a tape or a ruler.

  1. Chest — straight across, an inch below the armhole seam, then double it.
  2. Length — from the high point of the shoulder, beside the collar, straight down to the hem.
  3. Shoulder — seam to seam, across the top.
  4. Sleeve — from the shoulder seam down the outside edge to the sleeve hem.

Then pick the row closest to those numbers — chest first, it decides the fit. Nothing to copy? Measure around the fullest part of your chest, tape level and not pulled tight, and add room on top: we’d add about 4″ for the fit it is cut for, 2″ if you like it close, 6″ if you like it loose.

Moving between the two fabrics?

Cut a little wider than our classic tee — a long sleeve S measures 39.4″ around the chest against 36″ on a classic S. Take your usual size for a relaxed fit; go down one if you like it close.

Care
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Tumble dry low or hang. Do not iron directly on the print. No bleach, no dry cleaning.

Help & exchanges

A fault in the print, the wrong item, or a size that did not work out — email hello@waderidge.com with your order number and a photo. A person reads it and comes back to you.

Every piece is printed for one order, so we handle these case by case rather than through an automated returns portal.

Questions we actually get

Will the print crack or peel?

No — there is nothing on top of the fabric to crack. The cloth is printed first and cut and sewn afterwards, so the colour is in the fibre itself. You cannot feel the pattern with a fingertip, and it cannot peel away from the shirt.

Which size should I order?

This one is cut a little wider than our classic tee — a long sleeve S measures 39.4″ around the chest against 36″ on a classic S. Measure a shirt you already like across the chest, lay it flat, double it, and match that number on the chart: the chart lists the garment, not your body.

Will it fade after a season on the water?

Sun and salt are hard on anything. This one holds up better than a printed tee because the colour is dyed into the fibre rather than laid on top of it. Wash cold and inside out, hang it in the shade rather than the dryer, and rinse salt out the same day.

Can I wear it fishing, or is it a going-out shirt?

This is the one built for long days in the sun. Light 180 gsm cool-feeling stretch knit, full-length sleeves that keep direct sun off your arms, and a crew neck that sits easy under a cap or a life vest. Our cotton tees are the comfortable ones; this is the one you wear when the sun does not let up.
